Meet Danielle Tardiff
Danielle has been immersed in the design industry for over 25 years. She began her career at Ailanthus Ltd. while still in high school, where working alongside former owners Maria Howe and Toni Galeno sparked both her passion for design and her lasting love for the industry. She later went on to hold management positions at several respected firms within the Boston Design Center, building strong relationships throughout the design community along the way.
Her experience across residential, commercial, and retail furnishings has given Danielle a well-rounded understanding of the industry and a sharp eye for both design and functionality. Known for her product knowledge, honest approach, and quick sense of humor, Danielle has built lasting relationships throughout the design community and takes pride in helping designers bring projects from concept to completion with confidence and ease.
After years of building her career and reputation within the industry, Danielle returned to the showroom where it all began and purchased the company, launching its next chapter as Ailanthus on Harrison. Reimagining the business under its new name was a true full-circle moment — one that allowed her to combine decades of experience with her vision for a welcoming, inspiring, and highly curated destination for the design trade.
Today, Danielle continues to focus on building meaningful relationships within the design community while representing distinctive collections with an emphasis on craftsmanship, quality, and timeless design. When she’s not working with designers in the showroom, she’s usually accompanied by her beloved dog, Wesley, who joins her at work each day. Outside of work, Danielle and her husband, Chris, love to travel and find inspiration through new places, interiors, architecture, and experiences along the way.
